Defining Our Core Values
Our core values are more than just simple words; they are the cornerstones of how we serve our communities.
Learn how we support our partners, colleagues, and neighbors by honoring and advancing these values.

Health Equity
Promoting health equity is both a passion and a priority, and we work to close the gaps of disparity that exist for so many underserved populations across the state. Every person deserves to be valued equally and to attain their highest level of health. To achieve this, we must come together and implement solutions that address the social determinants of health that so largely contribute to health disparities.

Supporting Counties
Colorado is a diverse geographic region home to diverse populations. That’s why partnerships with government administrations, public health departments, and county programs are integral to equitably serving all members. Each county faces unique barriers that impact health outcomes, and the local entities serving those communities are best positioned to understand and address the population’s needs in the best way for them.

Whole-Person Health
Whole-person health is more than just our physical condition; it extends to our mental, emotional, behavioral, and spiritual well-being. We must consider the biological, behavioral, social, and environmental factors that influence these areas of wellness to comprehensively address whole health and empower individuals with equitable resources and treatment to help them achieve their healthiest potential.

Innovation
Innovation is integral to improving the health outcomes of Coloradans. It is the cornerstone of health care treatment, access, and delivery evolution — and we must break the existing barriers that limit avenues of care. We embrace challenges and collaborate with key stakeholders to design, implement, and manage new programs that pave the way for equitable and affordable access to quality care for all.

Rural Expertise
Our experience of providing health care access to rural Colorado communities dates back to our founding in 1974. Since then, our commitment to these communities has only grown. The challenges rural communities face are influenced largely by their location and populations, and today, we combine the power of innovation and partnerships with our unique perspective and roots to deliver solutions that better serve these members.
