Coverage in Child Health Plan Plus Program

Coverage in Child Health Plan Plus Program

Access to health care coverage is important for people of all ages. Through the Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) program, RMHP provides low-cost health insurance benefits to children whose families earn too much to qualify for Health First Colorado but not enough to pay for private insurance.

How Does CHP+ Work?

When you enroll in CHP+, your children can go to the doctor or get medication whenever they need it. Your child can see any of the RMHP-participating providers who practice in the 22 counties in Western Colorado shown on the map below.

Who Qualifies for CHP+?

  • Children age 18 and under
  • Colorado residents who meet income criteria and aren’t eligible for Health First Colorado and aren’t covered by other health insurance.
  • Permanent legal residents who have had an alien registration number for at least five years.
