Western Colorado is the agricultural center of the state, which means residents and visitors have no trouble finding fresh, seasonal flavors to enjoy. One of the best places to track down local produce, home and garden products, arts and crafts, snacks, and so much more is the Market on Main, Grand Junction’s summertime farmers’ market.
We are also proudly sponsoring the market this summer as a signature event in our community that we look forward to all year long. The market takes place every Thursday from June 20 to September 12 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Join us for a chance to indulge in the tastes, creatives, and community spirit of everything embodied as Western Colorado.
The market spans several spots along Main Street. Head to 3rd Street and Main Street to start your visit.
You can find free parking in the parking garage on Rood between 4th and 5th Streets. The parking lot does have a tendency to fill up fast
Unfortunately, your pet needs to stay at home. The Grand Junction City Ordinance does not allow pets at any Downtown events.
Market on Main is a foodie’s paradise and there are several food vendors if you arrive hungry. Plus, there is no shortage of fresh, seasonal Colorado produce to take home, including:
You’ll also find locally made jams, jellies, sauces, breads, salsas, handicrafts, art, and other goodies to shop while at the market.
With frequent live music and a number of booths to enjoy from different various community organizations ─ from the humane society to the police department ─ there is plenty do, see, taste, and experience this summer.
There’s no bad time to visit our town’s market. However, if you’re looking for Palisade peaches at the peak of the season, be sure to stop by July and August. You’ll want to be sure to get to the market right at opening so you get to pick the best peaches for your purpose. We’re impartial to creating new recipes using sweet and juicy Palisade peaches, and these five recipes are always well-received.
