It's Game Time! Healthy Broncos Themed Recipes

Show Off Your Broncos Pride: Recipes for Game Day

Football season is upon us, and you know what that means. It’s time to watch some Broncos football, snacks in hand.

These healthy Denver Broncos themed recipes will take your game day menu to the next level, and they’re a whole lot easier to whip up than you might think.

Spicy Baked Orange Chicken Wings

Baked wings are much healthier than fried wings, and this recipe from Let’s Dish ensures you won’t be missing out on any of that crispy goodness.

Plus, the orange sauce adds a nice Broncos-themed touch.

Orange Molasses Pork Chops

These pork chops are another great protein-rich snack option for your Broncos game day, and the recipe is a breeze to replicate:

  • 2 pounds (6 chops) thick-cut pork chops
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup orange juice concentrate
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Stir together the molasses, orange juice concentrate, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and salt. Place the marinade in a zip-top bag, add your pork chops, and seal the bag tightly. Let the chops marinate in the fridge for at least two hours.

To cook the pork chops, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, adding the meat once the oil is hot. No need to pour all of the marinade into the skillet. Enough sauce will cling to the chops to make them tasty. (Be sure to discard the extra marinade. It’s been in contact with raw meat.) Cook chops on for approximately 7 minutes per side or until done. The marinade will have reduced to a thick sauce, and your chops are ready to serve.

Buffalo Chicken Quinoa Bites with Greek Yogurt Blue Cheese Dip

These appetizer bites are seriously addictive and seriously easy to make. All of the ingredients are mixed together in one bowl and baked in mini muffins tins. The dip is easy, too. Just add blue cheese and a few spices to Greek yogurt.

Super easy Broncos themed snacks in a pinch

If you’re short on time, these quick snacks will do the trick:

  • Purchase gummy bears, M&Ms, or any other colorful candy. Pick out the orange and blue pieces and place in a bowl. (Sweet treats are always fine in moderation!)
  • Create a fruit and veggie tray featuring carrots, orange bell peppers, and blueberries.
  • Serve queso with blue tortilla chips.
  • Stack cantaloupe and blueberries on toothpicks. Add a slice of prosciutto if you’re feeling ambitious.
  • Purchase cupcakes with white frosting from your local bakery or grocery store. Sprinkle orange and blue sprinkles on top of the frosting.
  • Grab some specialty sodas in orange and blue from the grocery store.

Make some popcorn and toss in orange and blue M&Ms.
