Eat Well Be Well – Start Your Healthy Lifestyle Today

Eat Well. Be Well.

Simply put, we all pretty much want the same things.  Everyone wants to be healthier.  We want to feel good, we want to look good and we want to have many choices.

Having poor health reduces the number of choices available to us, and in most cases, it’s directly connected to what we eat.  Despite the vast amount of information that is available on eating well, actually putting it into practice still remains a daunting challenge for most of us.

I invite you to explore your own personal connection with food in order to discover what beliefs might be sabotaging your best efforts to change your eating habits.

Consider recording your own notes and reflections:

  • What situations typically are associated with you eating too much?
  • What situations are associated with you eating foods that are not good for you?
  • How do you feel after eating such a meal?
  • How would you describe your self- image when you have not eaten well?

After answering those questions, start by making one simple change.  A friend of mine once said, “If you want to change your life, change one thing you do a day.”  Pick one thing to change today. Just one.

Then begin a simple approach to changing the way you eat, in your own time and at your own pace.  Here’s an example:  Apples are chock-full of fiber, each one has 3 to 4 grams! Fiber has been proven to have significant health benefits, so you’re taking the first step if you merely adhere to the adage “an apple a day…”

As your body is introduced to more new healthy changes, you begin to feel more nourished.  I predict your path will be clearer, and as a result, you will have so many more choices for how to feel even healthier and more active.  It is a journey, a journey that is meant to be taken one day at a time.

This isn’t a diet. Eating Well and Being Well is a practice.
