As a Colorado-based, not-for-profit health plan, Rocky Mountain Health Plans is in a unique position to understand and care for the people that live in this great state.

Founded in 1974, we offer a wide range of medical benefit options, including PPO, HMO, and Health Savings Account-eligible plans.

The organization’s headquarters are in Grand Junction. Regional offices are in Denver, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Durango.

Rocky Mountain and affiliated entities provide services to 203,929 enrollees:
 
–    3,487 fully-insured employer groups with 45,437 Members
–    119 self-funded employer groups with 69,138 Members
–    22,453 Individuals
–    24,018 Medicare seniors
–    455 Medigap Members
–    21,735 Medicaid eligible persons
–    11,408 Medicaid Regional Care Collaborative Members
–    9,285 children under the Child Health Plan Plus program

We have been rated A+ (Excellent Financial Strength) by Weiss Ratings.The A+ rating recognizes our organization as an outstanding insurer offering excellent financial stability for our customers, vendors, and employees. Fewer than four percent of the nation's health insurers meet the Weiss Rating criteria for exceptional financial strength.

Rocky Mountain Health Plans contributes significantly to Colorado’s economy by circulating more than $475 million in annual revenue throughout the state.
